• Pupils should realize that they are responsible to the school authorities not only for their conduct in school but also for their general behavior outside. Any reported or observed objectionable conduct out of school on the part of pupils shall make them liable to disciplinary action

Immorality, insubordination or contempt of authority and breaking bounds and causing damage to school property are always sufficient reasons for suitable action to be taken immediately
  • Parents and caregivers are requested not to enter classrooms to see their children or teachers during school hours

  • Children, when sick, should not be sent to school to attend classes. The parents will hold the institution, indemnified against all claims arising through illness and accident.
  • Parent's attention is drawn to the fact that criticism of the school or teacher in the presence of a child should be strictly avoided because it causes the students to lose respect for their teachers with the consequent failure to learn from them and retards their progress.

  • Parents and caregivers are required to attend the P.T.M on a regular basis and the Class Teacher should be informed about any absenteeism, prior to the meeting.   • Parents should sign the progress report card and return it to the school within three days. If lost / mutilated, a replacement will be made after the payment of the required fine of RS.100 at the Administrative Office.
  • The name, admission no., class, section and house of the pupil should be clearly marked on all belongings of the students for e.g. ties, jerseys, skirts, pants, shirts, socks, shoes, bags, etc
  • Parents and caregivers are required to co-operate with the school in its attempt to help their children progress by paying attention to their attendance, punctuality and discipline and to take interest in their child's work. They should check the almanac every day and note the instructions given. They are advised to check the bags of their wards to see if any circular / notice / invitation etc. has been issued.
  • Care must be taken of all school property and if any damage is done, it will be made good by the concerned student together with a fine imposed for the offence.
  • Students are not allowed to wear earrings. Girls are allowed to wear only small rings / studs. Students are not allowed to apply nail polish / mehendi / tattoos under any circumstances.
  • Students are advised not to carry any cash and to bring valuable articles for e.g. mobile phones expensive watches, fountain pens, transistors, electronic gadgets, cameras, calculators or jewelry to school. In case of loss of valuables or other articles, the authorities will try their best to trace out the items but shall not undertake any responsibility for the loss.
  • It is compulsory for all students to attend school on the first day of the beginning of a semester or after each vacation, and the last day before the end of a semester / beginning of a vacation, otherwise strict action will be taken by the school authority.
  • The ward of those parents, who avoid meeting the authorities, when advised to do so, may not be allowed to attend the classes.
  • Parents and caregivers should not try to contact the Co-coordinator or teachers over the phone but they can meet the Co-coordinator and teachers during the 'Visiting Hours'.
  • Parents and caregivers are requested to personally see off and receive their wards at School.

  • In the event of the student missing his/ her assessment due to his / her absence from the school, there shall be no re - assessment for the student.
  • Collection and distribution of lunch packets and other belongings is not the responsibility of the school and is not allowed. In case of an emergency, school will however provide a small snack to the child and the cost of the same might be recovered from parent.
  • No student is allowed to bring gifts, presents or return gifts etc. to school to mark his/her/other's birthday or for any other occasion. At the most, a student will be allowed to distribute 2 toffees per student in his/her section. Students may wear school uniform on his/her birthday.
  • Parents are requested to carry the Escort Card on their person while visiting the school for any function organized by the school. If either of the cards are damaged or lost, an application along with one / two identical photo(s) has to be submitted to the office and the parent will be issued a temporary Identity / Escort Card, as the case may be. Further, parents shall be required to pay Rs. 50/- per each Identity Card / Escort Card at the school office. Further loss of the ID card will need to be intimated to the H.M and Rs.100/- per each Identity Card / Escort Card will be charged for a replacement and strict action will be initiated.
  • Our School is a polybag-free zone. All parents are requested not to send or bring any articles like Tiffin, stationery, craft articles etc. to school in polybags.
  • Parents and caregivers are requested not to approach the teachers for private tuition for their wards. If any student is found guilty of doing so, then strict action will be taken against both the parties and the student might be asked to leave school without a T. C. If any kind of help is required then the Parents and caregivers are requested to get in touch with the H.M and assistances may be considered as per the convenience of the school and / or the teacher
  • 75% attendance is compulsory for all students failing which he/she may not be eligible for promotion, if applicable. The percentage may be relaxed on medical grounds or any other unavoidable emergency circumstances
  • Repeated absence without leave or un-explained absence for more then 5 consecutive days may render the student liable to have his/her name struck off the rolls. Readmission may be granted only on the payment of fresh re-admission fee, at the discretion of the H.M.
  • A student returning to school after suffering from an infectious or contagious disease should produce a doctor's certificate, permitting him/her to attend the school.
  • Students who have been sick should bring a medical certificate from their doctor on joining school. A copy of the certificate is to be submitted and signed in the school clinic for follow up.
  • Parents /caregivers should fill up the ?record for non attendance? for each day the student is absent from school stating the reasons for absence.
  • Students, who require medical attention during school hours, may be sent by the teacher to the nearest clinic and the chares of the same shall be recovered from parent/caregivers later.
  • No one who has been absent on the previous day will be admitted to the class without a letter from the parents addressed to the class teacher, stating the reasons for the absence.
  • Leave for going out of station should be approved prior to proceeding on leave. In case of emergency- parents to inform the school and report to the class reps/ class teachers. They are not to go to the classes directly.
  • A student returning to school after suffering from infection or contagious disease should produce a doctor’s certificate permitting him to do so. Students suffering from the following diseases must observe prescribed period of quarantine before returning to class.
    1. Chicken pox : Till complete falling of the scabs
    2. Cholera : Till the child is completely well
    3. Measles : Two weeks after the rash disappears
    4. Mumps : Until the swelling has gone : about one month
    5. Jaundice : Six weeks after recovery
  • Repeated absence without leave or unexplained absence for more than 6 consecutive days renders the students liable to have his name struck off the roles. Readmission may be granted only on payment of a fresh admission fees.
  • It is compulsory for the students to complete 80% of the attendance in the academic session to make them eligible to sit for final examination.
  • Students who do not take their first semester and final semester examinations due to illness or some unforeseen mishap will be eligible for school badges/ blazers at the discretion of the H.M. However he/ she will not be eligible for any proficiency award.
  • In case for any reason, a student after taking admission in the school wishes to withdraw, only caution money will be refunded, subject to clearance of all dues payable to the school. In no circumstances, any dues payable to the school will be adjusted against the caution money. A written notice of withdrawal must be given one month (clear) in advance or one months tuition fee must be paid in lieu thereof.
  • A student may be asked to leave the school at the discretion of the H.M on any one of the. following grounds Disciplinary Unsatisfactory progress in workDetention or repeated detention in a class.Any other ground that the H.M deems necessary/ appropriate in the interest of the school and its students
  • Students who come to school in their own transport should arrive at school before the bell rings. No student is allowed to come to school in a self-driven scooter, motorcycle or car.
  • Students should be neatly dressed. The school uniform is to be worn on every working day. Students who are sloppily dressed or not in uniform may not be allowed to attend school.
  • Non-Sikh boys should get their hair cut at regular intervals.
  • Girls should plait their hair if it is below the shoulders. Short hair should be neatly cut and pinned.
  • Students are expected to respect the property of others. This includes respect for school property. No student should damage and school furniture, write or draw anything on walls furniture or in any way damage things belonging to others. Damage done even by accident should be reported at once to the Class Teacher or to the H.M. Any damage done will be made good by the one, who causes it.
  • The school is not responsible for goods lost. It is advisable not to bring valuable articles (like watches or cell phones, pagers, cameras, etc.) to school.
  • Students are not to wear any jewelry to school (no chains, rings, bangles, bracelets). Girls may wear only one pair of small earrings or studs only.
  • Students who come to school in care of servants should never leave before the servant arrives. In case of delay, they should report Class Teacher. Those who go home alone should be prompt in returning straight home.
  • Students should be polite wherever they go. They should always remember that the school is just by their conduct. They should greet their teachers when they meet them. Bullying and use of foul language are punishable offences.
  • The school reserves the right to suspend or to take strict disciplinary action against the students whose diligence or progress in studies is constantly unsatisfactory or whose conduct is harmful to other students.
  • Parents and caregivers may not visit their wards or teachers in the classrooms without the permission of the H.M.
  • As far as possible, once the child has come to school, he/ she should not be asked to come home on half day leave or leave from any period.
  • Students should get their report cards signed by their parents/ caregivers within 5 days of the receipt of their report cards and return them to the class teachers. If lost, a fine would be imposed.
  • Students must not miss any teaching/ games/ library/ activity period. A yellow card would be issued if they do so.
  • TIP TOP CONVENT provides education from pre nursery to class XII. Therefore it is expected that the juniors be treated with love and affection, while juniors show all respect to their seniors.
  • No student should indulge in any of the following practices namely: Spitting in or near the school building, Disfiguring or otherwise damaging any school property, Smoking, Any form of gambling, Rude behavior, Use of violence in any form, Casteism/ communalism or practice of un-touch- ability.
  • The observance of the rules of the school and good behavior is an essential condition to a student?s continuance in the school. In case a student violates the school rules or indulges in any form of indiscipline, strict action like expulsion/ suspension/ rustication shall be taken against the student.

  • Red Card : To be issued by the Rep for a period of three days and signed by the H.M. The card would be returned to the Rep. Three red cards would mean one yellow card. The card is to be issued for the following:
    1. Repeated careless and untidy work.
    2. Coming to school in improper uniform.
    3. Coming late to school.
    4. Not bringing the almanac to school.
    5. Misbehavior in bus and classroom.
    6. Missing Class Test.
    7. Not submitting an application for absence immediately after joining back.
    8. Coming to school in self driven scooter, motorcycle or car
  • Yellow Card : To be issued by the rep for 4 days. This is to be signed by the Class Teacher and Parent/caregiver. This is also to be signed after every period by the concerned period teacher. At the end of 4 days, card to be signed by the H.M and returned to rep. Two yellow cards would mean suspension from school for 3 days. Three yellow cards would mean expulsion from the school. Yellow card will be given for:
    1. Missing classes (bunking), assembly, library, PT, etc.
    2. Inappropriate behaviour in the school premises.
    3. Cheating during any test or exam.
    4. Damaging school property
  • All late arrivals if they arrive after the gate has been closed would be punished/ action will be taken.
  • Late arrivals consecutively would lead to the student being sent back home.
