FAQ for RTE Free Admissions:

Duly filled admission forms to be submitted to the admission in charge once the child clears the entrance test. The following documents are to be submitted at the time of admission along with the admission form.

  1. What is the scope of Free Admission under RTE?
Ans : Under RTE, Free admission means only school fees are exempted up to std 8. However Books, Reference Books, Worksheets, Copies, Uniform, School Picnic, School Functions, Extracurricular Activities, Sports Fees, Communication Charges, E Learning, Science Projects and or Educations Expeditions (which are paid extra by other 75 % students) are not free. It is noteworthy that, the facilities which are otherwise included in Tuition Fee are also free for students seeking admissions under RTE.
  2. How to transfer admission under RTE?
Ans : There is no provision under RTE to transfer admission from one school to other. Free admission / free education facility will not be applicable if school is changed after Std I as RTE is applicable on at entry level and not after Std I.
  3. What is the procedure of RTE admissions? Where will I get RTE Application form?
Ans : Maharashtra Govt has started a website for this purpose. Visit www.rte25admission.maharashtra.gov.in
  4. What if more applications are received than available seats under RTE?
    Ans : Please See www.rte25admission.maharashtra.gov.in
  5. What if school refuses to accept Application for Free Admission under RTE?
Ans : RTE Act makes it compulsory for every school to reserve admission at Entry Level class and such reserved seats cannot be released as Pay Seats up to Sept 30 of Academic Year. If admissions are not granted on Free Seats, the school looses the revenue for such free seats. Hence any prudent school ought to grant admissions under RTE. At TIP TOP CONVENT PRIMARY SCHOOL, we are glad to offer 25% Free Admissions under RTE. We do not divide students on caste, creed, community, economic conditions etc.
